8 December (Down Under) - A Haiku

A balmy breeze blows,
as the memories of youth
flash in Christmas lights.

Inspired by Sunday Scribblings (#246 - December).

Ah...a balmy Christmas...seems surreal somehow.

Yes, a lot of our pleasure in an Australia's Xmas comes from earlier folk memories.

You really make every word count.

Awww thanks everyone! I'm hoping to do something a bit more detailed next week as I have a few days off over Christmas.

Maybe I shall take a step away from the haikus. We shall see! :)

Saire, just found your poetry at Sun. Scribblings. I loved your haiku, wistful, true.

If you do other forms, I will look forward to seeing those as well. I'm posting sporadically at the moment, doing a major move, but here's my December post:
